About Rayburn Media Group

What is Rayburn Media Group?

Rayburn Media Group (RMG) is a boutique digital architecture studio that engineers AI-ready websites, mobile applications, and AI search optimization strategies. We specialize in Next.js web architecture, SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and Artificial Intelligence Optimization (AIO) — ensuring brands get found by Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. Our senior strategists operate across four studios in Denver, Miami, Los Angeles, and Cabo San Lucas.

What makes Rayburn Media Group different from other digital agencies?

Three things separate RMG from traditional agencies: (1) Senior-only execution — every project is led by a senior architect from start to finish, with no handoff to junior teams after the pitch. (2) AI-first architecture — every site we build is structured for both traditional search and AI knowledge graphs from day one, not retrofitted afterward. (3) Full-stack ownership — we handle web architecture, mobile apps, structured data, and AI search visibility under one roof, eliminating the fragmentation of working with multiple vendors.

Where is Rayburn Media Group located?

RMG operates across four studios: Denver, Colorado; Miami, Florida; Los Angeles, California; and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We work with clients internationally and all engagements can be managed fully remotely. You can reach us at sales@rayburnmedia.com.

Does RMG work with clients outside the United States?

Yes. We serve clients throughout North America, Europe, and Latin America. Our Cabo San Lucas studio has particular depth in serving Mexico-based businesses and international brands entering the Mexican market. All project communication and delivery is available in English and Spanish.

How do I contact Rayburn Media Group to start a project?

Email sales@rayburnmedia.com or use the contact form at rayburnmedia.com/#contact. A senior strategist responds directly — no intake forms, no sales development reps, no automated sequences. You talk to the person who will build your project.

Web Architecture & Development

What does 'AI-ready web architecture' mean?

An AI-ready website is built so its content can be correctly parsed, categorized, and cited by large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity — in addition to traditional search engines. This requires server-side rendering (so every page delivers complete HTML to crawlers), graph-based JSON-LD structured data (so AI knowledge graphs understand your brand and services), and semantic content architecture (so AI can extract clear answers from your pages). Most websites built on WordPress page builders or client-side JavaScript frameworks fail all three criteria.

Why does RMG use Next.js instead of WordPress?

WordPress powers roughly 43% of the web, but it was not designed for the performance, security, or AI search requirements of modern digital architecture. Next.js delivers server-rendered HTML on every page load — meaning search engines and AI crawlers see complete, fully-formed content immediately, with no JavaScript execution required. This results in faster indexing, better Core Web Vitals scores, and higher AI citation rates. WordPress with a page builder typically scores 40–65 on Google PageSpeed; our Next.js builds consistently achieve 90–100. You should always ask your agency to show you their clients' PageSpeed scores before signing.

What is server-first architecture and why does it matter for SEO?

Server-first architecture means your page HTML is generated on the server before it reaches the user's browser — as opposed to client-side rendering, where the browser has to execute JavaScript to build the page after it loads. For SEO, server-first matters because Google and AI crawlers have limited patience for JavaScript execution. Pages that arrive as complete HTML are indexed faster, ranked more accurately, and cited more frequently by AI systems. Try this: view the page source of your current website. If it shows mostly empty div tags and script references instead of actual content, your site is client-rendered and AI search engines may not be reading it correctly.

How long does it take to build a website with RMG?

Timeline depends on scope. A focused marketing and services site typically takes 4–8 weeks from kickoff to launch. A multi-page platform with custom functionality, mobile app integration, or complex data architecture typically takes 10–16 weeks. We do not rush architecture — every build ships with structured data, performance optimization, and AI search readiness baked in from day one, which requires proper planning time.

Does RMG redesign existing websites or only build from scratch?

Both. We frequently take over existing codebases — especially from WordPress or legacy React setups — and migrate them to Next.js with modern architecture. We also work on existing Next.js codebases to layer in structured data, AEO/GEO optimization, and performance improvements without a full rebuild. During an initial call, we assess which path makes more technical and business sense for your specific situation.

SEO & Structured Data

What SEO services does Rayburn Media Group offer?

Our SEO services span technical, on-page, and AI-specific optimization: Technical SEO (site architecture, crawl budget management, Core Web Vitals, canonicalization, hreflang); On-Page SEO (keyword strategy, heading hierarchy, meta optimization, internal linking); Schema Markup & Structured Data (JSON-LD graph implementation, rich results qualification, entity linking); Content Strategy (keyword-to-content mapping, topic cluster architecture, AI-readable content formatting); and Link Authority (digital PR, citation building, authoritative backlink strategy). All services are available as standalone engagements or as part of a full web architecture build.

What is JSON-LD structured data and why does it matter?

JSON-LD (JavaScript Object Notation for Linked Data) is the standard format for embedding machine-readable structured data in web pages, following the Schema.org vocabulary endorsed by Google, Bing, Yahoo, and Yandex. When correctly implemented, JSON-LD tells search engines and AI systems exactly what your page is about — not just in words, but in structured relationships: your organization type, your services, your locations, your team, your reviews. Pages with JSON-LD structured data are eligible for Google Rich Results (starred reviews, FAQ expansions, event listings), and are cited significantly more frequently by generative AI engines. You can test any page for JSON-LD at search.google.com/test/rich-results.

How is RMG's approach to SEO different from traditional agencies?

Most SEO agencies focus on three things: keyword rankings, backlink counts, and monthly reporting decks. We focus on two outcomes: traffic that converts and AI citations that build brand authority. The practical differences: we implement graph-based JSON-LD (not just basic meta tags), we structure content for AI extraction (not just keyword density), we build for Core Web Vitals performance (not just page existence), and we measure entity authority growth (not just domain rating). We also do not lock clients into long-term contracts — our results speak, or you move on.

How do I know if my current site has structured data?

Run your URL through Google's Rich Results Test at search.google.com/test/rich-results. If it returns zero detected items, your site has no structured data — or has it implemented incorrectly. You can also right-click your page, select 'View Page Source,' and search for 'application/ld+json'. If that string doesn't appear, no JSON-LD is present. The absence of structured data is one of the most common and fixable reasons brands are invisible to AI search systems.

Mobile App Development

What types of mobile apps does RMG build?

We build cross-platform iOS and Android applications using React Native — a single codebase that delivers near-native performance on both platforms. Our specializations include: consumer-facing apps with real-time data sync, offline-first apps for field or remote-use scenarios, marketplace and directory applications, apps with AI-powered features (recommendations, chat, content generation), and companion apps for web platforms we've already built. We do not build simple brochure apps — our mobile work addresses complex data problems and real user behavior.

What is an OTA update and why is it better than App Store updates?

OTA (Over-the-Air) updates allow us to push new features, bug fixes, and content changes directly to your users' devices — bypassing the App Store and Google Play review process entirely. Traditional app updates require submission, Apple/Google review (typically 1–3 days), and then rely on users choosing to update. OTA updates are instant: we deploy, every active user gets the new version within minutes. This is particularly valuable for time-sensitive changes — fixing a bug on launch day, updating pricing before a sale, or launching a new feature to capture a market window.

Does RMG build separate iOS and Android apps?

No. We build a single React Native codebase that compiles to native iOS and Android applications simultaneously. This means you get two fully-functional apps for effectively the development cost of one. The user experience is platform-appropriate — we follow iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material Design principles — while sharing 85–95% of the underlying code. This approach also means bug fixes and features ship to both platforms at the same time, with no platform-specific lag.

Process, Pricing & Getting Started

How does a project with RMG typically begin?

Step 1: You reach out at sales@rayburnmedia.com with a brief description of your project or challenge. Step 2: A senior strategist (not a salesperson) responds within one business day to schedule a discovery call. Step 3: We spend 30–60 minutes understanding your goals, your current digital presence, and your audience. Step 4: We prepare a custom architecture proposal — not a templated deck, but a specific technical and strategic plan for your situation. Step 5: If aligned, we begin the project with a defined scope, timeline, and milestone schedule. There is no pressure, no hard sell, and no obligation after the discovery call.

How does RMG price its projects?

All projects are custom-scoped based on complexity, timeline, and deliverables. We do not publish fixed price lists because the difference between a 5-page marketing site and a 60-page platform with schema architecture, mobile integration, and AI search optimization is enormous — and quoting a single number without understanding your needs would be misleading. What we can tell you: RMG is a premium boutique studio, not a budget agency. Our clients are businesses that understand the difference between a $3,000 WordPress template and a purpose-built digital architecture — and have seen firsthand what the latter produces. Contact us for a scoped proposal.

Does RMG offer ongoing retainer services?

Yes. Many clients engage RMG on a monthly retainer for continuous SEO management, AEO/GEO optimization, content strategy, and AI citation monitoring — particularly after an initial build. Retainers are structured around your specific goals and typically include a set of monthly deliverables, analytics review, and strategy sessions. We also offer standalone project-based engagements with no ongoing commitment for clients who prefer that structure.

How do we measure results and track progress?

We establish measurable KPIs before the project begins — not after. Depending on engagement type, we track: organic search rankings and traffic (Google Search Console, Ahrefs); Core Web Vitals and page performance scores; structured data coverage and rich result eligibility; AI citation rate (brand mentions in Perplexity, ChatGPT, and Google AI Overviews); entity authority signals; and for AEO/GEO campaigns, share of AI-generated answers that cite your brand in target query categories. We provide clear monthly reporting and are accountable to outcomes, not activities.
